in Bungay the community transport scheme covers Beccles and
Bungay and the surrounding villages. Our volunteers help the organisation
to provide the following services: -
NEW
DIAL-A-RIDE SERVICE (Two days a week)
Using our minibus we operate a door to door service for people
with mobility problems into Bungay on a Thursday and Fridays into
Beccles. Registration is required but membership is free.

Community
Car Service
Operating every day of the year our volunteers use their own cars
to
take people who have problems using public transport. We take
people shopping, to the doctors, dentist, hospital, to visit friends,
relatives, or to the nearest transport services. Costs are based on the distance
travelled when a driver leaves their home, however many journeys are subsidised.
To arrange transport ring us on 01986 896896 giving us as much
notice as possible.
Wheelchair
Accessible Vehicle (WAV)
Suffolk county council has supplied us with a wheelchair accessible
car, which can take 1 wheelchair and 3 passengers or 5 passengers
plus the driver. Journeys can be made as above. Ring 01986 895665

Community Minibus
We have a minibus driven by trained volunteers, which can be used
by groups and organisations for outings. It has a tailgate lift
with wheelchair access. To enquire about booking the bus, ring
us on 01986 896896.
If you could help
us by becoming a volunteer, then we would also love to hear from
you. All you need is a few hours to spare each week. If you are
not likely to use our services, but know of someone that might
benefit from them, then please pass this information on. Priority
is given to local community groups but the minibus can be hired
by anyone subject to availability.
