Sonya Remblance, owner of Hobbyhorse aims to provide a local source of quality dance and gymnastics wear that can be tried on for size and comfort, backed up with an efficient ordering and delivery service.
Most of the initial stock has been ordered with local club colours in mind but any items can be ordered. Regulation wear for ballet and dance, uniforms for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Guides, figure skating dresses are all available from this unique shop which is a great asset for the town. In addition to leisure wear Hobbyhorse now stocks school uniforms in the local school colours. Specialist dance skirts (i.e.character, flamenco etc.) for both children and adults can be made to order in a variety of colours but it is not just clothing.
Gift ideas such as jewellery, hair accessories and bags are all available - just call in and see exactly what is on offer in this delightful shop.

For those with theatre in mind, there are costumes, masks, hats, fairy wings, wigs, gloves and stage make-up and, if it is not in stock then Sonya will be happy to order it - or even make it!! For the fashion conscious there are the nylon/lycra footless tights (with or without stirrups) that are now being worn under a mini skirt as well as by dancers.
Sonya has also been in contact with many well known wholesalers and also with manufacturers that can produce custom designed items to personalise outfits for individual groups. Through these wholesalers all varieties of specialist dance/occasion footwear are also available from sneakers to wedding shoes.

Sonya specialises in making costumes, special occasion dresses for proms, productions, christenings etc and also offers a garment alteration service, not just on hobbywear but on any item of clothing (adults or children), from hems and zip replacement to intricate bead work.
