Dave
Gladwell's Fishing Tips
One
of the things we do in the River Closed Season is check our tackle over
and replace some items.
As
it is always a bit of mystery as to how to match all the various line
strengths and hooks the following table is an extraction from "Angling
For All" written and illustrated by Dave Gladwell especially for
beginners and improvers; due to be published in June 2003, and may help
you get it all balanced correctly.
Relative
Main Line Strengths to Hook Lengths and to Hook Sizes Guide
Look
at water and conditions first for a full two minutes before tackling
up. Weigh-up the weather, wind and flow strength to decide the approach
- don't rush the decision.
