Feature ArticlesGodric Cycling Club May Day Races There was a step back in time in Bungay on Bank Holiday Monday as the penny farthing cycles took to the streets as part of the Godric Cycling Club May Day Races. The rain was atrocious but there were many spectators cheering en route whilst the old cycles completed 6 x 1000 metre laps, the eventual winner being Steve George from Burnham-on-Crouch
This was the 25th race to be held and the last for organiser Geoff Banham who is has decided to retire. The race attracts riders from all over the country and the main race now forms part of the British Cycling's Elite Circuit Race Series.
