Jenny is a delightful, exquisite shop selling dresses, gowns, suits, accessories, hats and handbags suitable for the mother of the bride and/or groom. Jenny Stephenson of The Wedding Shop Bungay is the proprietor of the shop which opened as a result of her successful Wedding Shop which is just across the street as she felt there was a need for a shop devoted to not just weddings but occasionwear whether it is for a cruise, a dinner or a Christmas party. Jenny is the exclusive stockist in the area for Ann Balon, Condici, Dusk and Frank Usher to name a few. Her collections are personally selected by Jenny who has many years experience and this beautiful shop compliments The Wedding Shop perfectly. Everything for a wedding is catered for from cute little dresses for babies and toddlers to bridal gowns and from outfits for mother of the bride or groom to matching jewellery. Nothing is overlooked, anything can be made in any colour and Jenny makes co-ordinating jewellery and fascinators. WAVENEY FARM SHOP

It seats about 30 people and when the weather permits there are outside tables. There is wireless internet conection, and the shop has easy access from the main A143 road and plenty of parking space! Great place to meet social and an ideal "meeting point" for business people! Peter and Ru welcome all who would like to enjoy something "different" and look forward to see you!.
Many of the contributors were born well before World War II, and from their first hand accounts, we obtain a feel for how the town was in the 20s and 30s, and how it gradually changed into the place we know today. A lthough there is plenty of nostalgia – we hear how the Bedingfield family cooked sausages, about the games the children played on the common that would horrify Health and Safety, and what life was like working as a delivery boy in the 1947 floods - Dinky Payne also tells us very movingly how her memories of seeing children in need eighty years ago led to a life devoted to charity. For those who don’t know much about Bungay, Christopher Reeve provides some historical background and Martin Evans explains what being the Town Reeve means. But the undoubted star of the CD is Gordon Knowles, known to everyone as Chicken Boy. We accompany him at six in the morning on his daily journey to feed the Ditchingham chickens, but he also shows what a superb raconteur he is, regaling us with tales from seven decades of a life spent in Bungay. Our Town in Sound was made and recorded by Suffolk born radio producer, Nicholas Jenkins, who earlier made Town in Sound CDs about Framlingham and Diss. The CD was launched on November 30th, costs just five pounds and is available to buy from The Toy and Gift Emporium in Earsham Street or from their website www.toyandgiftemporium.co.uk. It’s an ideal Christmas present and a must for lovers of Bungay and anyone who enjoys hearing the authentic Waveney Valley Suffolk accent spoken by natural storytellers. You can also find details how to order the CD from Nicholas Jenkins’s website, www.soundingboardproductions.co.uk Bungay: Our Town In Sound features the voices of Malcolm Bedingfield, Martin Evans, Frank Honeywood, Gordon Knowles, Victor and Grace Moyse, Burton Nursey, Dinky Payne, Peggy Pietrzak and Christopher Reeve, and plays for 72 minutes. AN EXCITING PUBLISHING EVENT FOR BUNGAY A NEW VOLUME OF "THE TOWN RECORDER" The second volume of photographs from the collection of Frank Honeywood is available to order Like the first volume, published in 1994, the book contains over 170 photographs from Frank’s unique and historic collection. Whereas the first volume covered town history and amenities, the second volume focuses on Bungay’s social life. It includes photographs of all thirty three pubs that existed in c. 1900, as well as extensive sections on sports and leisure activities, and the celebration of royal events from the Victorian period until recent times. The accompanying text has been written by Christopher and Terry Reeve. For further information, contact Chris Reeve on 01986 896788 or 893155, or Terry Reeve on 01986 896416.
